Rock Engineering
Rock Engineering provides education on exploiting bedrock as a space and raw material alike. The education gives proficiency in designing optimal structures both inside and on the surface of the rock and expertise to carry out these plans in a safe, economic and most environmentally friendly way.
Rock Engineering offers research and test services to companies and public corporations, organizes seminars on current themes and acts as a member in the organizations of the field.

Teaching
The curriculum consists of three main areas:
- Rock engineering
- Mining technology
- Rock mechanics
The studies in rock engineering focus on rock engineering technology and design of rock engineering structures. Students of mining techology have the opportunity to include among the more advanced studies the European Mining Course (EMC), an international program where the students complete courses in four different European universities in different countries.
