All life on earth is based on the global cycle of water and every day, every person uses water supply and water sanitation services. However, many times there is either too much or too little water; there is no water where it is needed or the rain comes too early or too late; or the quality of the water is bad.
The research group of Water Engineering studies selected topics and teaches applied hydrology, hydraulics, applied limnology, water resources systems analysis, water resources environmental impact assessment, hydraulic structures, and irrigation and drainage. Furthermore, our research covers drinking water and wastewater treatment as well as drinking water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Our research facilities are state of the art. Researchers have access to our modern analytical research laboratories.
